First Post!

17 Weeks

This is my first post to you and I really don't know how to start this. You won't see a lot of me when you're born and as you get older, you might start asking why or you might wonder where I am, so I'm writing these blogs so that the world can see that even though I'm not there right beside you: I really love you.

You're about the size of my fist right now in your Mommy's tummy and in 3 weeks time, I'm taking her to find out if you're a boy or a girl (hopefully they can tell us by then!), I can't wait! You've already got fingerprints and you're growing your hair and nails, your body and head are more in proportion... you're looking like my baby and I get to see it all on the screen! Well, kind of. I won't actually be able to see everything growing, but I will know it's there and I won't be able to keep the grin off my face.

I hope you get to see these when you're older. Don't ever lose faith in me, kid.

Love you long time, Daddy x

Hi Baby Girl

I got to see you today, I drove Mommy through to the hospital so that we could see you on a little screen. When we got there, she slapped me though, because whilst she was talking to the sonographer, I was pulling faces at her. I was just practicing for when I meet you.

At the start of this year, your Mom was going to have another child. If things never went wrong, I might have been holding you in my arms right now.

Story Time 2

19 weeks

I've been thinking about reading you to sleep at night. I realized that I might not be able to. I know I want to, but there are things standing in my way, things that I'm working on. I have a plan though!

Story Time

18 weeks

I've always had a thing for children's books, I love them. They're simple and easy to read and so nostalgic that sometimes, you can forget about everything and just sink into a colorful world of anthropomorphic animals and moralistic dilemmas.

Big Deal

I know I only wrote to you last night, but this is exciting for me! I will be honest, when I first found out about you, I was really scared - I still am. This is a big deal.  But being scared doesn't make me any less happy.
